Fifty-four years ago today, on July 17, an institution was born that would later be likened to Aristotle’s Lyceum. Cebu City National Science High School has since become a place where brilliant minds converge, are nurtured, and are elevated to new heights. It promised a future to the youth who entered its gates and has consistently fostered excellence and integrity in the academic sphere for generations.

Starting the academic year 2024-2025 anew, Cebu City National Science High School (CCNSHS) recognized the brilliance and hard work of its academic awardees during the First Quarter recognition ceremony last October 22.

The event was sponsored by the Grade 11 faculty with Dr. Megan Zerda, as the grade leader.

The program commenced with a heartwarming welcome message from the school head, Dr. Marilou T. Dela Cuesta.

INTRAMURALS 2024 | GOLDEN SWEEP: Grade 11 Etero Videntes dominates Intramurals 2024

Following a new system of determining the overall champion, Grade 11 Etero Videntes was crowned as champions of SciHi’s Intramurals 2024 at the awarding ceremony on October 11, 2024, at the school gymnasium.

Securing the top spot, Grade 11 dominated the medal tally over the three-day Intramurals, garnering 16 gold, 11 silver and 4 bronze medals, with Grade 12 Aevincere finishing second with 8 gold, 12 silver and 7 bronze medals, while Grade 10 Valorix Cardieci came in third with 8 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze medals.

Cebu City National Science High School (CCNSHS) kicked off the Brigada Eskwela program 2024 with the entire school community, together with guest personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), through an opening ceremony held on July 22, 2024, at the school gymnasium.

This year's Brigada Eskwela carries the theme "Bayanihan Para sa MATATAG na Paaralan," emphasizing the importance of community involvement in ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for students.
