Fifty-four years ago today, on July 17, an institution was born that would later be likened to Aristotle’s Lyceum. Cebu City National Science High School has since become a place where brilliant minds converge, are nurtured, and are elevated to new heights. It promised a future to the youth who entered its gates and has consistently fostered excellence and integrity in the academic sphere for generations.

SciHi lauds academic excellence at 3rd Quarter Recognition Day

Demonstrating its commitment to academic excellence, CCNSHS held its Third Quarter Recognition Day on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the school gymnasium.

The ceremony celebrated the hardwork and dedication of students who earned With High and With Highest Honors, while also recognizing recipients of special awards across all grade levels.

Scholar's Voice soars high at the Regional Schools Press Conference 2025

As the 2025 Regional Schools Press Conference wrapped up in Siquijor, Scholar's Voice once again took center stage at the awarding ceremony held at Dugokanan sa Kapitolyo, Pulangyuta, Siquijor.

Twelve (12) SV campus journalists from the Collaborative Desktop Publishing and Online Publishing teams emerged victorious as they finally snatched the elusive championship in both categories. With their triumphant comeback, they are now set to advance to the prestigious National Schools Press Conference in Vigan, Ilocos Sur.

Cebu City National Science High School (CCNSHS) is now aiming for the “Regional Science High School” (RSHS) position in Region VII, following the announcement by the Department of Education (DepEd) recognizing the institution’s Special Program in Science (SPS) curriculum and the creation of the Negros Island Region (NIR).

The shift comes as DepEd transitions Ramon Teves Pastor Memorial-Dumaguete Science High School (RTPM-DSHS), the current RSHS of Region VII, to the newly established NIR, opening the RSHS slot for Central Visayas.

Last February 1, 2025, the Division Schools Press Conference of Cebu City made its conclusion. On this day, the official English school publication of Cebu City National Science High School earned prestigious awards, solidifying its title as the best of the best.
